Maintenance and checks
The vehicles of FALLER Car System represent finest, very realistic reproduc-
tions of reality. The structure of these vehicles requires some care at regu-
lar intervals to ensure that you will have as much fun as possible with the
vehicles and their functions, for as long as possible.
Cleaning
From time to time, dust and lint deposits must be removed from axle-bea-
rings, and from drive and steering elements of vehicles. Model roads, too,
should always be kept free of dust and tyre particles.
Clean the vehicles using a soft dry cloth and a soft dry paintbrush, or by
softly blowing air. Never use water or aggressive detergents.
Lubrication
To lubricate the vehicle use FALLER’s Special lubricant with Teflon©,
Art. 170488. The parts that need regular cleaning and lubrication are the
motor shaft and worm gear. Dispense with lubricating the parts of the stee-
ring unit. To ensure smooth run for a long time a drop out of the needle will
be sufficient on each lubricating point. Bear in mind that excess oil binds dust
and rubbed-off tyre particles and forms an oil-dirt paste that may affect the
vehicle’s functions. During that procedure also make sure that mud guards
do not come into contact with tyres.
