Main Menu
: The main menu button takes you to the menu guidance screen.
Altitude Profile:
Displays and hides the altitude profile on the map. If you tap on the
altitude profile which is shown, the entire altitude profile is displayed to you.
Rapid Access Menu:
Offers faster access to specific functions. When you tap on the
symbol, three functions are shown in the bar at the bottom. You can decide yourself which
functions are displayed there (see Chap. 6.3.10).
You can access the following functions as standard:
- starts the track recording. If recording is taking place:
- pauses the recording. If you
tap on this symbol for a long time, this stops the recording; the track is saved. You will find all
the information you need about tracks and about track recording in Chapter 11.
Note
: It is recommended, before you start the track recording, that you calibrate the
barometer manually (see Chap. 6.3.6).
- saves the current position (see Chap. 8)
- shows a large-scale view of the compass. The current viewing direction is used to
indicate which direction north is situated in.
Tip
: If you tap on the rapid access menu button for a long time, you can change the functions
which are set.
Current Street / Coordinates
: Here you are shown the street you are currently located on.
When you are on off-road terrain, you are shown the coordinates of your current location.
Current Position
: Your current position is marked by a red arrow on the map.
Zoom Button:
Tap on the zoom button
and then on the plus or minus symbol to adjust
the scale of the map.
GPS Signal
:
Indicates the status of the GPS reception.
GPS signal is not sufficiently strong to allow positioning. Signals are being received from
fewer than 3 satellites.
GPS signal is sufficiently strong to allow positioning. Signals are being received from 3
satellites.
A high-quality GPS signal is being received that allows your elevation to be determined.
Signals are being received from at least 4 satellites.
Means of Transport
: The symbols
and tell you which means of transport you have
currently selected.
Compass:
Indicates the current compass direction. If the compass arrow is shown in red,
the compass needs to be recalibrated. If you display the compass via the rapid access menu
(see above) on a large scale on the map, a "Calibrate compass" button appears. Tap on this
button to calibrate the compass.
Alternatively, you can also calibrate the compass on the settings menu under
"Settings >
System / General > Calibrate compass"
.
