5.3 Useful tips
Read the useful tips listed below carefully in order to get the most out of your cooking pot.
5.3.1 Initial cleaning
After installing the appliance, and before using to cook food, it is necessary to fill it with soapy water,
which should be left to boil for a few minutes.
Next, empty the tub and rinse it as many times as necessary, to eliminate the remains of soap.
Lastly, dry the vat.
5.3.2 Maintenance
FAGOR INDUSTRIAL recommends a service of all the operating components of the cooking pot at
least once a year to check their condition and the correct operation of the appliance. This service
must be carried out by an OFFICIAL AND/OR AUTHORISED TECHNICAL SERVICE.
The replacement of any functional component that may affect the safety of either the appliance or
the user should be performed by an OFFICIAL AND/OR AUTHORISED TECHNICAL SERVICE,
using the appropriate original spare parts.
Always clean the machine correctly to prolong the service life of the machine.
•
Remove any waste from the machine at the end of each day.
•
Do not use abrasive, corrosive or acid products, chlorine-based detergents, solvents or
petrol derivatives to clean the machine.
•
Do not use pressurised water to clean the machine.
•
The pressure and safety valves models must be kept clean.
•
It is advisable to regularly clean the inner part of the tub with soapy water that is left to boil
for a few minutes. and then rinse it with plenty of water. Then rinse it with plenty of water
and dry.
•
After use, all the models require regular greasing of the drainage tap with “KLÜBER
NONTROP PLB DR” or similar grease to prevent it from seizing up and to prevent possible
leaks.
•
A screw is located on the lower part of the pot to empty the chamber completely.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, after-sales service or
authorised technical personnel in order to prevent risks.
5.3.3 Prolonged periods of no use
If the machine is kept out of service for a long period of time (holidays, temporary closure, …),
please observe the following:
•
Clean the machine and the adjacent areas thoroughly.
•
Spray a thin layer of edible oil over the stainless steel surfaces.
•
Switch off the mains power supply.
6. FAULTS, ALARMS AND BREAKDOWNS
The steps to be followed in the event of a fault or operating error are described below. The possible causes
and possible solutions are listed in the following table. In the event of doubt, or if you are unable to resolve
the problem, please contact the technical service.
