PREPARE THE ISLAND FOR ALL INSTALLATIONS
1.
Disconnect and move freestanding range from counter to provide
easier access to ceiling. Put a thick, protective covering over cook-
top, set-in range or countertop to protect from damage or dirt.
2. Use a plumb line to mark the center of the cooktop, use the
mounting template on the ceiling to determine placement of
mounting screws in ceiling. Install mounting screws, and mark
the center of the holes in the ceiling template and drill the screw
holes.

3. Drill a 3/8" hole for the power supply and install mounting screws,
washers and nuts as shown in the template
4. If ducting the hood outside, make a center hole in the ceiling to
fit ducting through the ceiling

Install the damper and connect the ducting to the hood and
seal all joints

DUCTLESS INSTALLATIONS
1. Unscrew the upper chimney screws to seperate the chimney
from the frame. Unscrew the 4 screws at the top inside the frame
at the seperation point bewteen the upper and lower frames.
Unscrew the 8 screws that connect both frames. Lengthen
the frame in order to fit all the connection pieces for ductless
installations, see
(FIGURE 6)
2. Attach the ductless outlet piece (F) to the upper frame with
4 screws (G)

3. Attach the flange (D) to the lower part of the ductless outlet
piece and put the reducer flange
(K in FIGURE 1)
on the duct
outlet of the hood
4. Install ducting
(purchased seperately)
to connect the lower
and upper flange. To determine the correct length of ducting
needed, estimate the height of the hood and subtract 24 3/16".
Lengthen the frame to install the pipe inside the frame and place
the pipe while connecting the two frame pieces back together
to lock the pipe in place. Tighten all screws to
connect the frame together. Fix the pipe with the clamps
provided
(J in FIGURE 1)

5. Install the charcoal filters
(sold seperately)
above the
perimetric comfort panel and the grease filter, see
(FIGURE
5)
for installation. Pull down the comfort panel, remove the
grease filter and position the charcoal filter with the pull tabs
facing out and forward, then snap into place. Place the grease
filter back into place and close the comfort panel.

1. Unscrew the upper chimney cover from frame
2. Lift the frame to the ceiling, fit the frame slots onto the two
screws inserted in the ceiling. Turn the frame to reach the
center of the key hole

3. Tighten the screws and then attach two more screws into
the other holes making sure the screws are seated in the key
holes
4. Before moving onto the next steps, make sure the hood
is properly secured to the ceiling
