Daily Routine Maintenance
•
Clean the EZ1000 after each use with a mixed,
nonabrasive type of detergent according to your
detergent supplier instructions.
NOTE:
Do not
use solvent-based cleaning liquids, which can
damage or stain the surfaces.
•
Use a sponge or cloth and remove any soap or
lime deposits and feces promptly to avoid spots/
stains. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and
wipe with cloth.
NOTE: If feces or other
matter adheres to columns, immediately
clean the columns before raising and
lowering the EZ1000.
•
It is recommended that the battery packs are
charged daily or whenever the EZ1000 is not in
use. Batteries cannot be overcharged.
Weekly Maintenance
Visually inspect the EZ1000 interior to make sure
there are no nicks or cracks, which may scratch the
resident.
Monthly Maintenance
•
Check that all screws and fastenings are tight.
It’s important that all screws and fastenings are
checked and tightened if needed, including
those not easily visible. Inspection of all
fasteners and screws are also expected during the
monthly maintenance.
•
Armrests should be inspected to ensure they are
in good condition and that all fasteners are in
place and functioning properly.
•
Casters should be inspected to ensure they are
clean and that the locks and brakes are fully
functioning.
•
Tilting mechanism should be examined to
ensure that it is functioning properly.
•
Check the raising and tilting system to ensure its
smooth operation throughout entire lift and tilt
range.
Annual Maintenance
It is recommended that a competent maintenance
technician perform a full inspection of the EZ1000
for check up.
Battery Pack
Deposit in accordance to local regulations.
Cleaning the EZ1000
NOTE: The user/operator is responsible for
selecting the detergent and additives. Please
read the detergent supplier’s instruction
manual and find out whether the product is
suitable. Do not use solvent-based cleaning
liquids, which can damage or stain the PUR
and plastic surfaces (see Routine Maintenance
below).
Clean the EZ1000 after each use with a mixed,

optional bedpan and clean separately.

Use a sponge or cloth and promptly remove any
soap or lime deposits and feces to avoid spots/
stains. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Wipe
with cloth.
•
Safety belt may be machine washed and dried.
NOTE:
Wipe underneath the EZ1000 to
prevent dripping on the floor.
NOTE: If the lifting columns are exposed to
feces or other tough dirt during operation,
immediately clean the columns before raising
and lowering the EZ1000.
Routine Maintenance
The recommended frequency of these routine
maintenance procedures will depend on how
often the equipment is used. It is good practice
to establish these procedures and then adjust
the frequency as your conditions indicate. EZ
Way recommends a schedule is kept on file with
signatures of the individual(s) conducting the
inspections should questions arise at a later date.
The EZ1000 should immediately be taken out
of operation if defects or irregularities are noted.
