The EZ1000 is a battery-operated shower chair. The resident is typically a person who is unable to take care of
his/her own personal hygiene. The device is not intended to be used with residents that exceed a weight of
440 lbs. Resident must be able to sit up without support.
The device is intended to ease transferring and caring of the resident. Typical situations where the device is used
include: transporting the resident to and from a shower area, showering, washing, shampooing, and toileting the
resident.
The device is not intended to come in contact with injured skin.
The caregiver is a person who is capable of reading and understanding the operating manual and is qualified to
take care of dependent residents.
Before using the device, the user must read and understand this operating manual.
The device is intended to be used indoors in all types of care facilities and private homes in hygiene areas.

Only qualified staff who understand all operating and safety procedures may operate the equipment.
Always physically check water temperature before and during showering.
The resident must be positioned comfortably in the EZ1000 with armrests SECURELY folded down and safety
belt locked.
Never leave the resident unattended.
Make sure that all parts that come in contact with the resident are intact and without sharp edges. Ensure that
the EZ1000 can be moved, raised, tilted, or lowered safely to avoid any pinch injuries to resident.
Caster brakes must be securely locked on the EZ1000 before transferring a resident and while showering. Operate
the EZ1000 carefully when transporting residents through narrow corridors or over irregular and uneven surfaces.
Wipe under the EZ1000 to prevent water dripping on the floor.
The EZ1000 must be cleaned after each use. Always read and follow detergent supplier instructions. Avoid skin
or eye contact with detergent, which can be highly corrosive. If contact is made, rinse immediately with excess
water. If irritation occurs, consult a medical doctor. Always read and follow detergent supplier instructions.
The EZ1000 battery charger is the only one approved for charging the EZ1000 battery packs. Do not use the
battery charger in wet or damp areas due to a potential shock hazard. It is recommended that the EZ1000 battery
pack(s) are charged daily or whenever not in use. Batteries cannot be overcharged.
Check that caster brakes are clean and free from damages. Check that all screws are tightened and free from
damages. The EZ1000 must be inspected visually for signs of wear. Chair should not be used if defects are noted.
Prompt service is required.
