flushing procedure - how to flush
Relieve the pressure in the paint system. Refer to the

Pressure Relief Guidelines.
Never flush the system under high pressure.
Remove the spray tips. Never spray solvent or other flushing material through the guns with the spray tips

in place. Remove the gun tips to reduce the risk of static sparking and splashing. Soak and then clean the
tips in solvent to remove dried material.
Airless spray tips are made of tungsten carbide and are very brittle, so do not drop them. Never use a metal
probe to clean them.
When flushing the paint system, never put your hands or any part of your body under or near the
tip guards of the paint guns, while the paint system is working or under pressure.
With the Bleeder Line Valve open, put the bleeder line and suction hose into a pail of warm, soapy water or

a compatible solvent, depending upon the type of paint that is in the system.
Start the engine. Turn on the Hydraulic Oil Supply Valve and let the solvent recirculate through the

bleeder line first, then close the bleeder line valve.
Activate the gun to flush into a container until clean water/solvent comes out of the gun. Repeat the

procedure the other gun(s).
Guns can be activated by hand by pressing the red button on the end of the solenoid valve.
If you are flushing the system in preparation for storage, be sure to clean the HP paint filter also. Follow

the instructions as outlined under the Procedure for Cleaning of High Pressure Paint Filter.
