Run cables to the mounting location, leaving enough slack for device installation.

Feed the cables through the opening and through the wall box punch-out holes (if
applicable), securing them with cable clamps to provide strain relief and so they do not
slip back down into the wall or furniture.
NOTE:
Connect the network cable and (if applicable) the external power supply, but
do not apply power yet.

Trim back and insulate exposed cable shields with heat shrink to reduce the chance of
short circuits. The outer foil shield can be cut back to the point where the cable exits the
cable clamp.
