Managing the Switch
Displaying SNMP Settings
To display the SNMP settings configured on the switch, use the following command:
show management
This command displays the following information:
•
Enable/disable state for Telnet, SSH2, and SNMP, and web
•
SNMP community strings
•
Authorized SNMP station list
•
SNMP trap receiver list
•
RMON polling configuration
•
Login statistics
•
CLI idle timeouts
•
CLI paging
•
CLI configuration logging
config snmp sysname <string>
Configures the name of the switch. A
maximum of 32 characters is allowed. The
default sysname is the model name of the
device (for example,
Summit 300-48)
.
The
sysname
appears in the switch
prompt.
disable snmp access
Disables SNMP on the switch. Disabling
SNMP access does not affect the SNMP
configuration (for example, community
strings).
disable snmp traps
Prevents SNMP traps from being sent
from the switch. Does not clear the SNMP
trap receivers that have been configured.
enable snmp access
Turns on SNMP support for the switch.
enable snmp traps
Turns on SNMP trap support.
unconfig management
Restores default values to all
management-related entries.
