Check Alignment
When the torque arm is in position, it should be
parallel to the drive wheel.
Secure Motor Assembly
1. Place the drive wheel on the lift wheel.
2. Use two sockets, or a socket and adjustable wrench to torque the bolt to 20 ft/lbs.
3. Reduce torque by one quarter turn.
Attach the Bungee Cord
Attach the bungee cord to the torque arm assembly.
When properly positioned, the bungee should have to
stretch 2-3” to reach the hole in the motor assembly.
Note: If wheel slippage occurs, increase bungee
tension.
Secure Torque Arm
Using the offset bracket: (If you are only using
the mounting bracket, proceed to Step 4.)
1. Insert the offset bracket into the mounting
bracket.
2. Position the bracket so that the torque arm
will be 1” - 1.5” from the lift wheel.
3. Tighten the bolts on the spacer bar to secure
the offset bracket.
4. Slide the torque arm into position in the
bracket.
5. Tighten the bolts to secure the torque arm in
the bracket.
