5.3

Under-Scale and Over-Scale of Measuring Range

The measured value is within the range below 0 % and above 100% of the end value of
measuring range.
In case of Under-Scale of measuring range measures for correction of Zero Point should be
taken. The deviation value could always be evaluated more precisely in the menu NPC by

means of the transmitter output current.
In case of Over-Scale of measuring range due to high gas concentrations corresponding

measures for the individual transmitter should be taken, such as for example calibration and
adjustment.

5.4

Channel Fault

The input current of the transmitter is outside the limits fixed in the system parameters,
that means below I

min

 = 1.5 mA or above I

max

= 22.5 mA.

Reason for that might in general be a transmitter fault, interruption of transmitter power
supply, interruption or short circuit of transmitter cable.
Attention: Please keep in mind that in case of channel fault the respective alarms are acti-
vated. This happens when passing the limit I

max

if the exceeding of alarm levels is moni-

tored. It happens when passing the limit I

min

if the under-run of alarm levels is monitored.

In both cases the following details as well as the additional information as per Chapter 5.2
are valid.
