Latching
Alarms are displayed to the operator and a
password must be entered to clear the alarm
and remove the part.
Set up Safety Trigger
The safety trigger must be set up each time a
new recipe is selected. The safety trigger is a
safety feature that allows the operator to
remove their hands from the dual opto-touch
start buttons once the spindle is down and the
pinch hazard is eliminated. To maintain safety
and control reliability the safety trigger is set
manually and is not controlled by the machine
program.
Instructions for setting the safety trigger:
1.
Place an unassembled part in the machine.
2.
Use the Machine-Manual screen to jog the
spindle down on the parts (to the trigger
position).
3.
Loosen the jam nut on the left adjustment
knob behind the spindle (see Figure 5-10).
4.
Watch the trigger actuator in the window
and turn the adjustment knob until the roller
limit switch is completely actuated and near
the bottom of the raised area on the
actuator (Positioning near the bottom allows
the safety trigger to stay on as the weld
collapses). Note: 1 turn = 1/16” (1.5mm)
travel
NOTE:
If the safety trigger is not set
properly the spindle will retract
immediately when the operator
removes their hands from the
dual opto-touch start buttons.

with the rotation of their tool and
take appropriate safety
precautions.
