Clips: quick set-up and great ventilation
LYRA III is a light, airy 2-person shelter that excels at quickly responding to
changing conditions. The fly can be quickly configured in multiple ways and
the highly ventilated inner tent maximizes air flow in warmer conditions. Rapid
set-up is a direct result of the clip-and-hub pole system, which allows the inner
tent to be set up without the fly when conditions allow.
Setup
Unpack: Un-roll the tent and separate the inner tent, fly and pole bag.
Spread out the inner tent on the ground, floor down. In breezy conditions,
secure the inner tent to the ground with with a stake at one corner, facing
the wind.
Assemble poles: All pole segments and hubs are connected to one
another by shock cord. Carefully connect each pole to its partner pole
and place the assembled pole structure on the inner tent, with the sprea-
der-pole above the ridge pole.
Erect structure: Insert pole ends into grommets at the four corners. Take
care when connecting the last pole-end-to-grommet connection as the
assembly will be under a bit of tension. Insert the spreader-pole ends into
their corresponding peak grommets above each door.
Clip: To erect the tent, simply attach clips to poles, beginning with the
ridge clips, then attach the remaining clips. Stand back and admire your
work!
