3. Quick Start Guide
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
•
Ensure you meet the minimum clearances and recommended installation locations as outlined in the
manual.
•
All heat pump accessories are contained in a plastic bag inside the packaging of your heat pump unit.
PRE-INSTALLATION
1.
Position the heater on a level pad in the desired location on the pool water return line (as shown in the example
image below).
2.
Install the supplied antivibration rubber pads under the feet of the unit.
3.
Install the supplied condensation barb to the underside of the unit and direct the condensation to an
appropriate drainage point.
PLUMBING INSTALLATION
PLEASE NOTE:
Evo heat pumps standard plumbing fitting size can accept 40mm NB PVC pipe for connection to the
pool or spa filtration plumbing.
1.
Attach the supplied barrel unions to the cold inlet and hot outlet (hand tighten).
2.
Use plumbing tape and ensure the ‘O’ ring is in position when sealing.
3.
Install a 3-way valve at the cold-water inlet and create a bypass by connecting a “T” piece to the heated line.
4.
Make the plumbing connections and brace pipework where necessary.
