Using Your Evinrude E-TEC Outboard
Start Mode
If any of the LEDs does NOT light during start-
ing, it may indicate an engine problem. Refer
to
EMM
Diagnostics Label.
LED 1, 2, or 3 OFF, seek assistance to return
to port. See your service technician.
LED 3 flashing indicates a hazardous fuel
condition may exist. Seek assistance to return
to port. See your service technician.
LED 4 OFF indicates the stop circuit is activat-
ed, make sure the engine cut–off switch teth-
er cord is attached.
LED 4 flashing indicates engine shut down:

• Excessive No Oil condition. Seek assis-
tance to return to port.

WARNING
If the outboard shuts OFF and the
“LED 3” indicator is flashing, the out-
board cannot be restarted. A hazardous
fuel condition may exist.
Seek assistance to return to port. Seek
service from an authorized
Evinrude
dealer, repair shop, or person of your
own choosing for maintenance, repair, or
replacement.
