6.7 BACKLIGHT
To set the BACKLIGHT settings, scroll to the BACKLIGHT line and use your
RIGHT button to scroll to either BLC, HLC, or OFF.
BLC (Back Light Compensation)
Even when there is a bright backlight behind an object, clear images of the
object and its background can still be captured by selecting BLC mode.
HLC (High Light Compensation)
HLC reverses bright spots (such as headlights). This enables the camera to
better display information that would otherwise have been “whited out”,
like a license plate.
6.8 DAY/NIGHT
Use this menu item to select COLOR mode, or B/W mode, AUTO mode, EXT1
mode (default) or EXT2 mode.
•
Use the LEFT and RIGHT buttons to select the mode. Press ENTER to
access the selected mode’s setting submenu, where applicable.
•
COLOR
mode is ideal for DAYTIME. In this mode, the camera is forced to
deliver a Color feed during daytime and nighttime.
B&W
mode is ideal for
NIGHTTIME. In this mode, the camera is forced to deliver a B&W feed
during daytime and nighttime (switch the BURST setting On/Off as
required).
AUTO
mode switches to a B&W feed in the nighttime and then
switches back to a Color feed in the daytime.
EXT1 (External 1)
mode
switches to a B&W feed controlled by the Light Sensor.
EXT2 (External 2)
mode switches to a Color feed controlled by the Light Sensor.
