If switched to BYPASS, the receivers connected to the IEC 320 C13 output sockets
in UPS will cease to be powered.
The following steps must be done to switch a UPS operating in MAINS (normal)
mode to service BYPASS mode:
1. On the PDU panel remove the
‘Maintenance switch cover’ (MAINTENANCE
BYPASS SWITCH).
2. Rotate the maintenance switch to
‘’BYPASS” position.
3. I
nstall back the ‘Maintenance switch cover’ to prevent 'BYPASS’ switch back to
‘UPS.
4.
Turn the PDU’s “Input switch” to “OFF” position.
5. Few seconds later the UPS unit turn off, the PDU will power the load.
CAUTION!
The terminals may still be live, even after the UPS is shut
down. Wait 10 minutes for the bus to discharge, before removing the
cover.
Switching from BYPASS mode (service bypass) to MAINS mode
– by means of
PDU
The following steps must be done to switch a UPS operating in BYPASS mode to
service MAINS (normal) mode:
1. On the PDU panel remove the
‘Maintenance switch cover’ (MAINTENANCE
BYPASS SWITCH).
2. Switch the "INPUT SWITCH" (on the PDU) to ON.
3. Switch "MAINTAIN BYPASS SWITCH" to UPS.
4. Install back the "Maintenance switch cover" to prevent "UPS" switch back to
"BYPASS".
5. Make sure the UPS is in the BYPASS mode.
6. Press and hold the
button for at least 1 s. The UPS unit will switch to mains
mode, continuously supplying power to the.
