4. Make sure no active alarms or messages are displayed on the screen. If any such
alarms or messages are present, check their meaning in the "Diagnostics of
errors reported by the UPS
”.
5. The icon
shown on the display indicates that the UPS unit operates in the
mains (normal) mode.
All devices connected to the UPS are supplied with power
and protected.
Starting the UPS up from the battery (cold start)
The start the UPS up when there is no power in the mains (the so-called "cold start")
follow these steps:
1. Make sure everything is properly connected.
2. Press and hold the
button for more than 100 ms. The fans will start working
and the LCD will show the welcome screen.
3. In < 15 s, press and hold the
button for at least 1 s. A 1 s sound will be
generated and the UPS unit will switch on.
4. Few seconds later the UPS unit will enter battery operation mode. If power from
the mains returns, the UPS unit will switch to mains mode, continuously supplying
power to the receivers.
Switching off the UPS
To switch the UPS off follow these steps
:
1. Press the
button continuously for more than 3 seconds and the buzzer will
beep 300ms. After that, the UPS will turn into Bypass mode at once.
2. When completing the above action, UPS output voltage is still present. In
order to cut off the UPS output, simply cut off the utility power supply. A few
seconds later, the ups will shut down and no output voltage is available from
the UPS output terminal.
Switching from MAINS mode to BYPASS mode (service bypass)
– by means of
PDU
The PDU features a manual BYPASS line switch for directly switching the INPUT line
PDU (IN terminals) to the PDU OUTPUT line (OUT terminals) bypassing the UPS
unit's blocks.
