snap them together.
The chest clip must be
positioned at armpit
level. The harness straps
must be snug against the
child.

Removing the Child from the Carrier

Insert the buckle tongues

into the buckle. Pull up on
the harness strap to ensure
the buckle tongues are
engaged.
IMPORTANT:
The buckle strap should be snug against
the baby’s crotch but never under the baby’s bottom.
Adjust the crotch strap if necessary (p. 36).

A snug strap should not
allow any slack. It lies in a
relatively straight line
without sagging. It does
not press on the child’s
flesh or push the child’s
body into an unnatural
position. Check the
harness straps near the
shoulders for slack. You
should
NOT
be able to pinch
the harness (see illustration).
Adjust as needed.
