Putting into operation
Before putting the device into operation, in order to ensure proper operation, please
read the operating instructions thoroughly and to the end!
Setting up
Make sure that no device with strong electrical fields is near the radio transmission
set such as cellular phone, radio device, electrical motor etc.
The set can also be affected by interference ("irradiation”) of tuners, TV sets, micro-
waves etc. Make sure that your device is located at a great distance from those devi-
ces.
Metal surfaces, reinforced concrete walls and strong electrical or electromagnetic
fields like in electrical motors of radio systems etc. can also affect the working range
of your device.
Because of variety of used lacquers and polishes for furniture it can happen that the
device base, as a result of a chemical reaction, could leave residua on furniture.
That’s why do not put devices without appropriate protection on the valuable furni-
ture surfaces.
Put the transmitter near AV source device (e.g. video recorder, DVD player or SAT receiver) and near
main TV device.
Put the receiver near another TV device.
Inserting/replacing batteries for remote control
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Batteries are hazardous waste and may not be thrown into the domestic waste!
Make sure you insert batteries according to their proper polarity.
Remove batteries, if you do not use the device for a long period of time.
Do not leave batteries littered because children or pets might swallow them. In case
of batteries having been swallowed call for immediate medical care! Make sure that
batteries are not short-circuited or thrown into fire. They may not be re-charged.
Danger of explosion.
Leaky or damaged batteries might cause cauterisation when in contact with the skin;
use therefore in this case suitable protective gloves.
