The diameter reduction introduces a pressure drop in the system. Pay attention, especially when
the flow rates are high and if the section reduction is applied simultaneously with the use of
reduced section meters.
In the case of low pressures, the section reduction could also lead to cavitation formation,
especially if the meter has a reduced section; this condition must be absolutely avoided.
