Attach the two supports (each with 2 swivel castors) to the radiator. Slide the U-shaped bolts onto both sides
between the outer fins of the radiator, the end the screw thread and the outwards facing curve.
First slide the supports (with the swivel castors) over the curve and then over the end of the screw thread.
Please note: the wheels should be placed as far
away from one another as possible!
Return the heater to its upright position, wheels down.
Warning: only use the heater when it is in an upright position, with the wheels attached to the bottom (as
pictured on the front of this booklet). Any other position is dangerous!
Choose a suitable location for the heater which is at least one metre away from any obstructions, walls or
inflammable materials (see also safety instructions).
Make sure a functioning heater is always placed on a solid, flat and horizontal surface. Never place it on a
bed, couch, deep pile carpet etcetera!
Check that the socket used is earthed and that it matches the power specified on the heater’s type plate.
Set-up and Operation
Set the power switches to off (underside not depressed) and the thermostat dial to HIGH (maximum).
Plug in the heater.
In order to switch on the heater, set one or both power switches to l.c.q. II. The light(s) on the related
switch(es) turn(s) on and the heater starts to function. For slow heating, a small rise in temperature or a
small space, choose setting I (750W). For quick heating, a bigger temperature rise or a larger space, choose
setting II (1250W). I and II together give full power (2000W).
Once the space has reached the right temperature, turn the thermostat dial to LOW until you hear a click. If
you leave the dial in this position, the heater will maintain the current temperature by regularly switching on
and off. When the heater is switched on, the light(s) will go on. By turning the thermostat dial to the left/right,
you increase/decrease the set temperature.
If so desired, you can now switch to a lower power level.
To switch off, turn the power switches to off
– press back). The heater switches off. Unplug.
Note! It takes a long time for an oil filled radiator to cool down. Give the radiator sufficient time to cool down
before touching or moving (use handle!).
Turbo
The RK2009Turbo is fitted with an extra ceramic heating element (400W) with an integral fan that can blow warm
air into the room. Activate this Turbo by depressing the turbo button and switch it off by pressing and releasing the
button again.
