2 – Changing the engine oil
a)
Put the device on a flat, horizontal surface
and allow the engine to warm up for a few
minutes. Switch the engine off and close the fuel
cock (OFF). Turn the venting button on the tank
cap closed by turning it counterclockwise.
b)
Unscrew the 4 screws and remove the side panel
(see the figure).
c)
Remove the oil fill cap.
d)
Position a receptacle under the generator and tilt
it so that all of the oil drains out.
e)
Return the generator to its flat, horizontal surface.
f)
Pour new engine oil in the tank up to the
maximum level.
g)
Screw the oil fill cap back in the opening.
h)
Replace the cover and retighten the 4 screws.
Recommended engine oil: SAE 10W30/40.
Warning:
Ensure that no foreign material gets into the
crankcase.
Do not add oil to a generator that is not in a
horizontal position; this could cause overfilling and
damage to the engine.
