DMX-controlled operation
You can control the device individually via your DMX-controller. Every DMX-channel has a different
occupation with different features. The individual channels and their features are listed under DMX-protocol.
The device has four DMX channel modes. The Control Board allows you, as described above, to assign the
DMX channel mode.
Wireless DMX
For wireless data transmission you need a DMX-controller, a wireless transmitter and a wireless receiver or
devices with built-in wireless receiver. Please use the appropriate devices from the FUTURELIGHT range.
If a device with wireless receiver is connected to a DMX-controller via cable, the device will be controlled by
the cabled controller and not by the wireless transmitter.
The wireless receiver has an internal memory function. If the device is switched off and on again, the
receiver automatically logs onto the wireless transmitter.
The WDMX statuses are shown via the display of the device:
WDMX status
WDMX status dot is lit:
The wireless receiver is logged into the wireless transmitter. The DMX signal is
present and received.
WDMX status dot flashes rapidly
: The wireless receiver was logged into the wireless transmitter but the
WDMX transmitter is switched off or not connected to the power supply.
WDMX status dot flashes slowly
: No DMX-signal, the wireless connection is on hold.
No WDMX status dot:
Not logged into a wireless transmitter (free).
Function button:
To log out a wireless receiver, press and hold the function button for 3 seconds.
Please note, that WDMX has priority over DMX.
The procedure for installing a wireless DMX system depends on the wireless transmitter being used. Please
refer to the instructions in the user manual of the corresponding device.
Addressing
The Control Board allows you to assign the DMX starting address, which is defined as the first channel from
which the AKKU Bar-4 HCL WDMX will respond to the controller.
