eject the CD-ROM in your drive and
insert the
Windows CD.
3. Give the computer a few seconds to rec-
ognize that the disk is in the drive, then
click
OK
.

Yes
to restart your computer.
5. Upon restart click
Start
(menu), point to
Settings
and click
Control Panel
. Dou-
ble-click
System
(icon) and then click
Device Manager
.
6. Click “+” next to
Network Adapters
(if
its sub-items are not shown).
7. Double-click
IrDA v3.0 Fast Infrared
Port
and click the
Driver
(tab).
8. Click the
Update Driver
(button)
>
Next
.
9. When the
Update Device Driver Wizard
appears, click
Next
(make sure that you
have selected
“Search for a better
driver than the one your device is using
now (Recommended)”
).
10. Select ONLY
(make sure the other boxes
do not have a tick inside them) “
Specify
a location:”
, and navigate (
Browse...
) to
D:\Drivers\FIR
.
11. Click
OK

12. You may setup your Infrared from either
the
taskbar
at the bottom right of the
screen, or by going to the
Start
(menu),
point to
Settings
and click
Control
Panel
. Double-click
Infrared
(icon).
13. Click in the checkbox to
Enable Infra-
red Communication
in the
Options
(tab) then click
OK
.
14. Make sure you have the correct setting by
going to
Start
(menu), point to
Settings
and click
Control Panel
. Double-click
the
Network
(icon).
15. Select
IrDA v3.0 Fast Infrared Port
and
click the
Properties
(button).
16. Select the
Advanced
(tab).
17. On the left under
Property
select
Infra-
red Transceiver A
, and under
Value
select
HP HSDL-2300/3600
and click
OK
.
18. Check the documentation with your
Infrared device for any further settings
required.
