12. SETTING TIME/DATE
As already described in chapter 10, it may be required in case of bad DCF-reception
that the time and date be set manually.
Both for manual setting and for DCF-reception, the order of day and month in the
display, the time zone and language can be chosen when displaying the weekday
abbreviations.
(
When DCF-reception is active, skip the time and date setting (do not change
anything).
If time or date are misadjusted by accident, you can then simply perform a
new reception attempt for the DCF signal so that the basis station displays
the DCF data again.
Proceed as follows:
—
The basis station must be close to the regular time display (not in, e.g., the
display of the alarm time).
—
Hold down the “MODE” button (5) for about three seconds until the sound signal
is issued.
The hours display flashes.
(
When no button is pushed for about 15 seconds, the current setting is
assumed and the setting mode left automatically.
—
Set the hours with the buttons “+” (2) or “-” (4), if desired. Keeping the respective
button down for some time will adjust quickly.
(
Please note:
When the DCF-reception is active, adjustment of the time (hours/minutes/
seconds) or date (year/month/day) switches it off. The reception symbol “ ”
(N) vanishes from the display.
As already described above, just continue setting (e.g. order of day and
month, time zone or language for the weekday). Then start a new reception
attempt for the DCF signal.
—
Briefly press the button “MODE” (5).
The minutes display flashes.
—
Set the minutes with the buttons “+” (2) or “-” (4). Keeping the respective button
down for some time will adjust quickly.
