ceiling of a room, in addition to the conventional analogue clock display. Time is set
automatically by the DCF time signal.
The projection clock has also an alarm function.
The projection clock can be powered by either the included AC adapter or batteries
of the type AAA/micro. If powered by an AC adapter, the continuous projection of
the time is possible.

EXPlaNaTION OF SYmbOlS
c
A lightning-bolt symbol inside a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g., dan-
ger of electric shock.
m
This symbol points to specific risks associated with handling, function and
use.
The “Hand” symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
SaFETY INSTRUcTIONS
c
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to
observe these safety instructions! we do not assume any liability for
any resulting damage!

modifications of the product are not permitted.
-
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
The product contains small parts, glass (display) and batteries.
Children do not realise the danger arising from the incorrect use of elec-
trical devices. Position the product so it is out of the reach of children.
-
Do not leave the packaging materials unattended. They may become
dangerous playthings for children.
-
If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating in-
structions, please contact our technical department or another special
ist.
b) connection and operation
-
The product may be installed and used only in dry, enclosed locations
indoors. Do not let the product get damp or wet as a power adapter pose
a risk that may result in fatal electric shock!
-
Do not place the product on valuable furniture without using a suitable
protection.
-
Do not use the product in rooms with adverse environmental conditions,
where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There
is a danger of explosion!
-
The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibra-
tions or heavy mechanical stress.
-
Use the product in moderate climates only; do not use in tropical cli-
mates.
c
-
Never look into the projector directly or by means of optical instruments,
this poses the risk of injury to the eyes!
m
-
The design of the power adapter complies with protection class II. Only
connect the power adapter to a standard wall socket connected to the
public supply.
-
Use only the power adapter provided to power the projection clock.
-
The mains socket where the power adapter is plugged in must be easily
accessible.
-
Place the cable between power adapter and projection clock in such a
way that nobody can trip over it.
-
Also protect the cable of the power adapter from sharp edges. Do not
kink the cable. Do not place objects on the product.
-
Do not pull the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the
cable.
-
If the power adapter is damaged, do not use the product any longer.
Switch off the mains socket to which the power adapter is connected
(switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety
fuse, then switch off the earth leakage circuit breaker). Unplug the power
adapter first from the mains socket.
-
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the prod-
uct must be turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is
not used unintentionally.
Safe operation is presumably no longer possible if:
— the product shows visible signs of damage
— the product does not work at all or performs poorly (flickering light,
leaking smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises, or dis-
colouration of the product or to adjacent surfaces)
— the product was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable
conditions
— it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
-
For safety reasons, unplug the AC adapter from the mains socket before
cleaning the product or if you do not use the product for a while (e.g.,
during storage). Removing the batteries.
NOTES ON baTTERIES aNd REcHaRgEablE baTTERIES
-
Non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries do not belong in the hands of children.
-
Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk of
them being swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immedi-
ately.
-
Replace flat batteries/rechargeable batteries in good time since flat or old bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries can leak.
-
Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin
can cause acid burns; therefore, use suitable safety gloves.
-
Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically ag-
gressive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids may get
considerably damaged. Therefore, keep batteries/rechargeable batteries in a
suitable location.
-
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown
into fire. There is a danger of explosion!
-
Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; risk of explosion!
-
Always replace the entire set of non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries. Do
not mix non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries with different charges (flat
and half-discharged non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries).
-
Use either batteries or rechargeable batteries; never mix standard batteries with
rechargeable batteries. Use only batteries/rechargeable batteries of the same
model and type and from the same manufacturer.
-
Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable bat-
teries (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
-
For the environmentally appropriate disposal of batteries and rechargeable bat-
teries, please read the chapter „Disposal“.
It is possible to operate the product with rechargeable batteries. However,
the operating time will be reduced due to the lower voltage (battery = 1.5 V,
rechargeable battery = 1.2V).
