• Never exceed the permitted roof load of your vehicle. For this purpose, read the manual of your vehicle or ask the
manufacturer.
• Be aware that the driving behaviour of your vehicle changes considerably when driving with a roof load during
procedures such as breaking, side wind and when taking curves. Adapt your driving behaviour accordingly.
• Remove all parts that may be lost before starting your journey, these include air pumps, drinking bottles, battery-
powered lamps, navigation systems, bicycle computer, tool bags or baskets.
• Remove all bags from the bicycle before starting your journey.
• Do not use protective covers for the bicycle during the journey.
• Always observe the greater height of your vehicle with mounted bicycle on the roof, particularly when driving on
boulevards, tunnels, underground and multi-storey car parks.
• The bicycle cannot protrude beyond the outer contours of the vehicle.

• Before each journey, check whether the roof-mounted luggage rack, the bicycle holder and the bicycle are secured
and firmly mounted.
• After having travelled a while, check whether the roof load is still firmly secured and check this afterwards at
regular intervals.
• Never drive faster than 130 km/h when the bicycle rack is mounted.
• Do not travel with the bicycle rack empty. Store it in the boot of your vehicle. This prevents increased fuel
consumption and protects the rack.
• The driver is always responsible for ensuring that the load and the load securing meet the regulations.

5. Operating instructions
5.1 Completing the mounting bracket
The bicycle rack attachment must be assembled first. Take all of the components out of the packaging and set them out clearly.
Check the scope of delivery. Every stage is described and you are shown which components are required for the assembly of the
bike rack attachment.
