Exterior Care:

To maintain the finish of your watch and your bracelet (if applicable)
we advise that you clean it regularly with a soft brush, lukewarm water
and mild soap. Then rinse with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth.

Water Resistance:

Your Ernst Benz Great Circle Automatic Watch has been manufactured to withstand
water pressures equivalent to a depth of 5 ATM, which is equal to 165 feet or 50 meters.
Each watch we produce is individually tested both in a pressure chamber and
a vacuum chamber prior to leaving our factory.
Your watch must be serviced regularly and have its seals replaced to maintain its
resistance to water, particularly as the water resistance is dependant on individual use.

Important Note:

•

You should check that the crown is in the proper position before exposing the watch to water.

•

You must never engage the chronograph function of your watch while submerged in water.

•

Always remember to rinse your watch in fresh water after exposure to saltwater or chlorine.

•

Please follow the instructions covering the correct handling of your specific watch.

The following are hazards to avoid: Dropping, careless or rough setting, excessive
tension on straps, neglect of cracked or broken crystals and damaged crowns or pushers.

A mechanical watch is a precision mechanism which is asked to work 24 hours a day,
indefinitely.  Treat it with respect.

Maintenance:

Your watch is mechanical and during its manufacture, your watch has received
very special attention by skilled craftsmen. To maintain its proper functioning,
as all mechanisms, your watch should be routinely serviced by one of our
After-Sales Service Agents.

Once a Year:

We recommend that you have your watch checked annually for water resistance
and it’s exterior inspected to insure the case, crown, crystal and bracelet
or strap are intact.

Three to Five Years:

We recommend that you have your watch mechanically overhauled every

3 - 5 years

, so that you receive complete satisfaction and your timepiece

continues to function for many years to come.

In view of the meticulous work that is involved in high quality craftsmanship,
you will have to do without your watch for the short time required for service.

Any repair or other operation carried out on your Ernst Benz watch
must be done by an official and appointed Ernst Benz Service Center.
