These products have an electronic instrument recognition fea-
ture, which presets various operating parameters depending on
the APC unit used:
• When connecting an APC 300, the gas flow is preset. This can
be changed if necessary, although only within a certain
range, which does not damage the product. You must set all
other operating parameters yourself on the electrosurgical
unit in use. When doing so, the unit setting must not exceed
the maximum electrical capacity of the cable or the instru-
ment, as otherwise the accessories may be damaged. For in-
formation on how to select suitable unit settings, please re-
fer to the instructions for using the electrosurgical unit.
• When connecting an APC 2, mode, output, effect and gas
flow are preset. The gas flow can be changed if necessary,
although only within a certain range, which does not damage
the product. All other operating parameters can be changed
as required on the electrosurgical unit. When doing so, the
unit setting must not exceed the maximum electrical capac-
ity of the cable or the instrument, as otherwise the accesso-
ries may be damaged. For information on how to select suit-
able unit settings, please refer to the instructions for using
the electrosurgical unit.

Cleaning, disinfection, sterilization
5.1 Safety instructions for processing
Erbe Elektromedizin recommends machine cleaning/
disinfection. Because it is much less effective, manual cleaning
is not recommended.
May be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath.
Never use sharp objects for cleaning.
Disinfectants must be rinsed off thoroughly after use.
