Krautkramer USN 52R/USN 52L
Issue 05, 02/00
5-27
• The two settings
DAC
and
TCG
can only be switched
on if a curve was recorded beforehand, or if a data
set containing a curve was recalled.
REC:
Use this setting to prepare the instrument for the
recording of a DAC curve. A curve that possibly already
exists is deleted.
a-START:
With this, you can determine the starting
point of the gate (please also refer to function group
GATE
). This function is repeated here because it is
required for recording a curve and for the echo evalua-
tion.
DAC ECHO:
The
DAC ECHO
function shows the num-
ber of curve points (reference echoes) and is used in
the recording mode (REC) for recording the next refer-
ence echo.
Operation:
Before starting to record a reference curve, you have to
carry out a correct instrument calibration first. This es-
pecially applies to the functions:
RANGE, MTL VEL,
FREQ., RECTIF.
and
DAMPING
due to the fact that a
variation of these functions is no longer possible with
an active
DAC
or
TCG
.
