Disassembly and Assembly of Major Parts of Printer

4.4.22.1  Assembly of EJ Frame Assy

1.

Apply grease to the specified points.

2.

Install the Right and Left Racks and the Right and Left EJ Links on the printer frame.

3.

Turn over the block levers (x2) to the front, and insert the right shank of the EJ Frame 
Assy into the groove in the Right Rack and the guide area of the Right EJ Link.

 (See Figure 4-76)

4.

Through the groove in the Left Rack, insert the left shank of the EJ Frame Assy into 
the guide area of the Left EJ Link.

5.

Install the Right and Left EJ Frame Release Guides.

6.

Install the right and left EJ frame torsion springs.

4.4.22.2  Checking of EJ Frame Assy

After assembling the EJ Frame Assy, check the following conditions for properness. 

 

(See Figure 4-77)

When the EJ Frame Assy is moved back and forth, the Right and Left EJ Links 
move together.

The right and left block levers have been turned over to the front

When installing the EJ frame torsion springs, take care not to 
bend the spring catches of the printer frame.

Lubrication is necessary. Refer to the following section and 
lubricate the specified points:
