Sequential Repair Service Program feature

5.2.4 Main board replacement
When you replace the main board with new one, this repair item should be selected in
the Sequential repair service program.
NOTE:
Before replace the defective main board, connect the printer to the PC
and run this program to confirm the necessary logic circuit is active.
If the CPU and I/F receiver IC, EEPROM, RAM is not broken, Status
monitor will detect the Fatal error and displayed on the screen. In this
case, EEPROM back up function may be available.

Connect the defective printer and check if the status monitor display the Fatal error.
If the status monitor display the Fatal error, click the “Close” button to proceed the
next step. (Most of the case, the fatal error is displayed).

Click the “Main board replacement” in the Sequential repair service program.
The following menu is displayed.

Click “EEPROM back up” to read out all EEPROM data from the defective main
board. The program starts to check the EEPROM condition on the defective Main
board by clicking the “OK” button in the following message display on the screen.
