2.3.8 TE Motor Drive Circuit

A stepping motor is used to drive the 

TE motor. The phase data for the stepping motor 

 transmitted

from the port on 

 to the driver - PU 1501, and controls the stepping motor by constant-voltage

method. The 

TE motor is supplied with + 5 

 in hold 

mode, and +35

2.3.9 Timer Circuit and Backup Circuit

Figure 2-50 shows the block diagram of the timer circuit and the backup circuit.

The timer circuit (TC8521 AM on CPU bus) outputs the time data used for the pump unit sequence

control. The operation of this circuit is independent of the main power ON/OFF state. The backup circuit

is used to back up the timer circuit in the main power OFF state. Since this circuit monitors the + 5

 line, it su 5 

 as soon as the main power is turned on. When the + 5 

 line indicates

+ 3.3 

 or less, the power is supplied from the lithium battery.
