Printing and Operation Problems

The Power light is off.

●

If you’re using the optional battery, PictureMate 
will automatically turn off after 15 minutes if it is 
not being used. Press the 

On

 

button to turn it 

back on.

●

If you’re using the optional battery, it may not be 
charged. Connect the AC adapter and plug it into 
an electrical outlet to charge the battery.

●

If you’re using the optional battery, it may not be 
installed all the way into the compartment. 
Remove the battery, then reinsert it so that it locks 
into place. See page 40 for more information.

PictureMate makes an unexpected noise after you 
install a photo cartridge.

The first time you install the photo cartridge, 
PictureMate will charge its print head for about three 
minutes. Wait until charging finishes before you turn it 
off, or it may charge improperly and use more ink the 
next time you turn it on. 

The photo viewer screen is blank.

●

The screen shuts off after 13 minutes if 
PictureMate is not being used. Press any button 
to turn it back on.

●

If you’re using the optional battery, PictureMate 
will automatically turn off after 15 minutes if it is
