Backup Error Messages
If you see one of these messages while backing up
photos to an external device, here’s what to do:
The inserted card cannot
be used with this printer.
See your printer manual
for help.
Use a compatible memory card.
Format the card with your
camera, not a computer. See
the card types you can use on
page 6. The file types on the
card might not be supported.
See page 4.
Memory card or disk was
not inserted or cannot be
recognized.
Check the memory card and try
the solutions above. Make sure
the card or disk contains
photos.
Bluetooth Photo Print
Adapter error. Disconnect
and reconnect the
Adapter.
Disconnect the adapter, then
reconnect it to the printer. See
page 32.
A printer error has
occurred. Try turning the
printer off, then back on.
See your printer manual
for more information.
Turn off PictureMate, wait a few
seconds, then turn it on again.
If the error does not clear, see
“Where to Get Help” on
page 58.
Temperature inside the
printer is too high. Print
quality may decline.
Move the printer to a cooler
location and wait until the error
message disappears.
The battery is out.
Connect the AC adapter.
Connect the AC adapter to
charge the battery.

The battery temperature
is abnormal. Turn the
power off, then wait until
the battery temperature
decreases.
Turn off PictureMate and wait 5
to 10 minutes until the battery
cools before turning it back on.

Cartridge is out of ink. Purchase
a PictureMate Print Pack and
replace the photo cartridge
with a new one. See page 34.
