Disassembly and Assembly

Disassembly Procedures

4.2.6  Carriage Motor/Timing Belt Removal

1.

Release the carriage lock. (See section 4.2.1)

2.

Remove the document cover. (See section 4.2.2)

3.

Remove the upper cover. (See section 4.2.3)

4.

Remove the carriage unit. (See section 4.2.5)

5.

Remove 2 gold screws (CBS, M3x6), 2 gold screws (CBS, M3x4)and 2 
rear hooks, and remove the shield cover for the main board.

6.

 Remove 2 gold screws (CBS, M3x4) fixing the CR motor unit, and slide the 
CR motor unit into the inside of the scanner body.

7.

Remove CR motor unit cable from the connector of the main board, and 
remove the CR motor unit.
