The paper roll near-end sensor is an option.  If the printer is not equipped with the paper 
near-end sensor, bits 0 and 1 of the third byte are always ON, “Paper adequate”.

When the paper roll end sensor detects a paper-end, the printer goes off-line and does not 
execute this command.  Therefore, bits 2 and 3 of the paper sensor status do not transmit a 
paper-end status.
