Correcting part-specific shrinkage
Due to special part properties, a part can be allocated a part-specific shrinkage in
addition to the material-specific shrinkage. It can therefore also be necessary to
scale the part.

Setting part-specific beam offset
By changing the beam offset for individual parts, these parts can be allocated a
specific undersize or oversize. This action is necessary for special applications, e.g.
for a fit. For this purpose the required part or several parts must be selected and the
required value for the beam offset entered.

Using a part-dependent scaling, the part can be scaled in the X and Y
direction, however not in the Z direction.
➢
Part-dependent scaling values are added to the material-dependent scaling
values:
- The sum of the scaling values is indicated in the
Job parameters
window
in the
Scaling
column of the list of parts.
- The value entered for a selected part is indicated in the
Job parameters
window,
Setting
tab,
Part scaling
group box.
If several parts are marked, a value is not indicated.
