TIPS FOR BETTER TURNTABLE PERFORMANCE
1.
When opening or closing the turntable cover, handle it gently, gripping it either at the centre or at each
side.
2.
Do not touch the needle tip with your fingers; avoid bumping the needle against the turntable platter or
record edge.
3.
Frequently clean the needle tip-use a soft brush in a “back-to-front’ motion only.
4.
If you must use a stylus cleaning fluid, use it very sparingly.
5.
Gently wipe the dust cover and turntable housing with a soft cloth. Use only a small amount of mild deter-
gent to clean the turntable and dust cover.
6.
Never apply harsh chemicals or solvents to any part of the turntable system.
FAQ
Q:
Why does the sound jump, or why is the sound bad?
A:
Try to carefully bend down the stylus head to make sure it has full contact with the LP.
A:
Try replacing the stylus with the included extra stylus.
A:
Check that the tonearm head is securely mounted onto the tonearm.
A:
Check that the stylus is securely mounted onto the tonearm head.
Q:
The turntable stops spinning before the turntable has reached the end of the LP.
A:
Set the Auto Stop knob to the “Off” position, and it will be able to play the whole LP.
Q:
in Audacity it only register audio from one channel (L or R).
A:
Go to the settings in Audacity, and make sure the audio source is set to “2 (Stereo)”. Edit -> Preferences,
Click on the “Audio I/O” tab, and choose “2(Stereo)” at Recording -> Channels.
Q:
My computer does not register the Turntable.
A:
Make sure the turntable is turned on.
A:
Try connecting the USB cable to another USB port on your PC.
