NEUROGENIC
Always remember to test sensitivity before treating with TENS, and be careful with the intensity in
the beginning when treating neurogenic pain. Sometimes patients with neurogenic pain feel
increased pain from the TENS treatment, in which case the treatment must be altered or stopped.
One alternative is to treat the patient on the contralateral side.
