PREFACE

We very much appreciate your purchase of the EN-
Tree Train

1)

. The EN-Tree Train offers the possi-bility

to practice in a very flexible way medical training
therapy.

The package contain the EN-Tree Train and the
operation manual, in which you are reading now.

The trunk section of the EN-Tree Train is conical, so
that each body, no matter its size, can be supported
correctly.

The rounded edges and the safe-lock settings, allow
an intensive and safe operation.

In general, medical training therapy is practiced with
a set of 3 products (see page 15). Besides the EN-
Tree Train (figure 1), these are the EN-Tree Bench

1)

(fig. 2) and the EN-Tree Pulley (fig. 3) or EN-TreeM.
Sometimes, also loose weights are used. This
equipment is intended for training and therapy under
supervision of a (para)medic.

When developing and producing the EN-Tree Train,
much consideration was given to reliability, safety,
user comfort and durability. In order to be able to use
your EN-Tree Train safely, it is important that you
read the instructions before use.

DIRECTIONS WITH REGARD TO

SAFETY

• The EN-Tree Train should be operated or used by

one person at ones.

• Do not adjust the trunk or the leg section when it

supports the full weight of the patient.

• Use both hands to change the EN-Tree Train

settings: one hand for unlocking and the other for
adjusting the section, and, after having adjusted a
section, make sure that it klicks in its new position.

• The maximum load per section  is 135 kg.

• Although the EN-Tree Train is equipped with a

stable, wide base, we advise you to avoid excessive
sideways load when training, with regard to a
possible danger of tilting (page 15, fig. 4).

• Keep feet clear from under the EN-Tree Train while

adjusting the leg section.

• Keep limbs away from the front plate when adjusting

the trunk section with regard to the danger of
squeezing (fig. 1A) .

• Keep limbs away from the turning point when

adjusting the trunk section with regard to the
danger of squeezing (fig. 5).

• Make sure there is at least 1 metre of free space

around the EN-Tree Train.

• The covering is inflammable; therefore, keep open

flames away from the EN-Tree Train.

• At all times keep away unsupervised children from

the equipment.

• In case of incorrect training, injury may occur.

Supervision by a knowledgeable (para)medic is
therefore obligatory.

HANDLING AND USE

• To obtain an optimal stability of the couch, it is

important that all fixation knobs are always screwed
tightly.

• The EN-Tree Train has a nose cut-away for enhanced

comfort.

• For objective training, the sections are equipped

with an angle indication B (page 15, fig. 1).

• The fixation rolls can also be used under the top of

the couch by mounting the vertical bar upside
down.

• If desired, the mounting bars of the fixation rolls can

be removed by pressing the locking pin C (fig. 1)
of the horizontal bar and pulling the horizontal bar
out of the couch.

• The EN-Tree Train can be moved easily by lifting it

at the trunk side (e.g. at the nose cut-away) and
rolling it with the wheels D (fig. 1).

• For the sequence of training therapy we direct you

to the therapy guides and reference books
published on this matter. At Enraf-Nonius or its
representative a publication can be ordered titled
"Medical Training Therapy with the EN-Tree", with
reference of part number 1400.799  (English version).
