USB console

The capt

web module provides a console interface that allows you to configure your device and to display several

information such as the current configuration.

7.1

Installing the Console

First time connecting to the USB console you will have to install the included driver

capt2web.inf

. For a proper

installation stick to the following steps:

1. If you connect your capt

2

web device with one of your PC’s USB Ports for the first time, the

Windows Hardware

Wizard

should appear asking you if it should search the Windows Update Site for the required driver. Please

choose "No, not this time" as shown in figure

7.1

and click "Next".

2. Next step is to tell the wizard not to install the driver automatically. Rather you choose the option "Install from

a list or specific location" to speed up the installation. The dialog is shown in figure

7.2
