4.0 PRV3
PRESSURE REDUCING
VALVE
The PRV3 is a remote mount pressure
reducing valve that is pipe connected. The
pressure reducing cartridge without
connection block can however be manifold
mounted, see Figure 6. The valve is set up
so that the reverse flow (A to P) occurs
when the pressure on the primary side
drops below that of the secondary side.
The pressure reducing valve is adjusted by
turning the adjustment screw on the
pressure reducing cartridge clockwise to
increase pressure setting and
counterclockwise to decrease pressure
setting. Hold adjustment screw at desired
setting and tighten lock nut. Use pressure
gauge on consumer side to assist in
setting pressure reduction. The "M" port on
the connection block provides for the
mounting of a pressure gauge on the
consumer side. There is also a port to
allow connection of pressure switch, PSCK
8 or PSCK 9, on the side of the valve. See
figure 4.
