NOTE:
Suction Superheat should be between 5 and 10
k during normal operating conditions.
The heat pump may need a field adjustable for TXV, Suction Superheat can be changed using the
following procedure:
When adjusting the TXV, make no more than one turn of the stern at a time and observe the change in
superheat closely to prevent ever-shooting the desired setting.Using two (2) wrenches remove the TXV
service cap (opposite the diaphragm end of the valve). To increase Suction Superheat, turn the
adjusting stern CLOCKWISE. To decrease Suction Superheat, turn the adjusting stem COUNTER-
CLOCKWISE.
As much as 30 minutes may be required for the refrigeration system to return to equalibrium after
an adjustment is made. After completing the adjustment, replace and tighten the service cap.
