MMP20 SONO-DIS (option D)

Step 1.
Switching on the SONO-DIS
Pressing the
key for > 1 second switches on the SONO-DIS in the "CHANGE" formulation menu.
Pressing this button again for longer (only in this measuring window!) would switch off the
SONO-DIS again. SONO-DIS switches off automatically after 10 minutes if it is not operated during
this time (this time can be shortened or increased to up to 20 minutes in the "Auto-Power-Off"
menu).
Step 2.
CHANGE the raw density, CHAR parameter and G-Set
The raw density of the concrete to be measured must be entered before the water content is
measured. In addition, the characteristic of the concrete formulation must be set to "fine, coarse,
normal or special" with the CHAR parameter (see the "Settings" chapter). The SONO-DIS is set to the
variety of concrete with the corresponding rock type with the G-Set parameter. The G-Set value is
entered in liters/m
3
and can be entered in increments of one liter up to +- 50 liters.
The user can scroll through the parameter list using the "Change" keys
. The selected parame-
ter is shown
darker
on the LCD with the "Up"
and "Down"
keys. The selected parameter is
activated with the "Select" key
. Once activated, the parameter can be configured with the "+"
and "-"
keys. By pressing the "OK" key
, you accept the set value and are automatically taken
back to the "CHANGE" menu where you can configure more parameters.
Caution: It is important to enter the raw density value,
as it enters directly into the calculation of
the water content. As an alternative to determining the raw density on site, it is also possible to
enter the target raw density in order to obtain acceptable measurement results. A density deviation
of +-0.02 would mean an error of +-1.6 liters in the water content measurement. A difference of 0.1
in the raw density, i.e. from the density value 2.200 to 2.300, means a difference of 8 liters in the
water content!
Once you have changed or entered the raw density, the CHAR parameter and a possible value for the
"G-Set", you are taken automatically to the following "Meas" menu when you press the "Next" key
.
General-Set
:
Fine adjustment of the SONO-WZ to the variety of concrete
with the rock type and core water. Entry max. +- 50 liters
Typically: -10 liters (2/3 of core water) which are automati-
cally subtracted during the measurement if the effective wa-
ter content (the effective water) is to be measured.
Raw density D
Characteristics:
Characteristics of the concrete formulation with 4
possible settings:
coarse
A (minus correction),
normal
B (no correction),
fine
C (plus correction),
or
special
U (minus correction for gap grading).
Note:
This parameter is largely influenced by the
mortar content in the concrete.
If the kiln-dry water content is to be
measured with the SONO-WZ, enter
a plus value for the G-Set, with 1/3
of core water!
