4.2.4 Shielding/potential equalization
• You achieve optimum shielding against disturbances if the shielding is connected on both sides
(in the cabinet and on the device). If potential equalization currents are expected in the plant,
only ground shielding on one side, preferably at the transmitter.
• When using in hazardous areas, you must observe the applicable regulations.
Separate Ex documentation with additional technical data and instructions is included with all
Ex systems as standard.
4.2.5 Connecting handheld terminal (DXR375/FC375)
With a handheld terminal you can set and check the transmitter, and avail of additional functions,
all along the 4 to 20 mA line.

Warning!
• In the case of Ex d type of protection, do not connect the handheld terminal in the hazardous area.
• Do not replace the battery of the handheld terminal in the hazardous area.
• For devices with FM or CSA certificates, establish the electrical connection as per Installation or
Control Drawing (ZD) supplied.
