  INTERFACE CABLE PINOUTS

The following schematic shows the serial cable requirements for connecting
the printer to your DOS or UNIX based systems. You may build this cable
or purchase it from ENCAD, Inc. The cable must be shielded and should
not exceed 25' in length.

If you are using a serial cable provided by a vendor other than ENCAD, be
sure that the pinouts match those shown here. If the non-ENCAD serial
cable is not working, order ENCAD cable 203977.

For connecting to an Apple Macintosh or compatible, use an RS422 or
equivalent serial cable.
