APPLICATION NOTES
General
The following general tips will help you print quickly and easily from
any application:
•
Always print in Portrait orientation. Landscape requires extra
memory to rotate the image and could result in printing problems.
•
In Adobe Illustrator, images will shift to the right. To compensate
for this problem, open the file in Photoshop at 300 dpi, save as a
.tif file, and print from Photoshop.
•
In Quark Xpress, in order to use ENCAD color management, it
may be necessary to turn off EFI color correction.
PhotoCD users
Change the color space in your image to RGB and save as RGB.
CAD drawings
For best color results with CAD line drawings, choose GS ink and
vellum media in the printer setup menu (even if you are not printing on
vellum). This combination will activate a color link specially created
for CAD line drawings.
