2. Remove the glass frame and screen frame assembly
as a unit, from both sides of the fireplace.

3. Insert the False Floor into the firebox at an angle.
Make sure the pilot shield is on the same side as the
pilot. The False Floor will fit around the burner and
pilot. Ensure that the Pilot Shield wraps around the
base of the pilot rather than sitting on top of it. Push
the three flanges of the False Floor inwards to allow it
to sit all the way down against the Firebox Floor.

4. Screw the False Floor to the burner using the included
ten #10 X 3/8" Truss Head Screws.
See Figure 3.
5. Using a flat-head screwdriver, bend all log locator tabs
upwards to 90 degrees.

6. Consult your fireplace Installation Instructions for
the placement of rock wool and logs or decorative
boulders. Do not deviate from these instructions.

DG36MX:
The un-lettered stones included in this
kit may be arranged on the false floor to suit your
preference. Do not place them on the burner.
LSU24SPF and DG36MX:
The bag of “wood splinters”
and the included vermiculite may be arranged on the
false floor to suit your preference. Do not place them
on the burner.
8. Replace the glass and screen frames before lighting
the unit.
